How to use goodnotes as planner

It seems as though people are ditching pen and paper for an ipad and a stylus pen. I guess you could say it’s good for the environment in its entirety, not to mention how fun it is to actually make digital notes. There are no limitations, use of endless stickers, you never run out of ink, endless color options, you don’t have to worry about making mistakes. Goodnotes has just made our lives so much easier. 

I’m sure you’ve also noticed that so many people do not just use goodnotes to take notes, it can also be used as a planner. Yuup, it just keeps getting better and better. I;m going to walk you through exactly how you can use your goodnotes app as a planner.

What is goodnotes?

I’m just going to quickly explain what goodnotes is for those who don’t completely understand it. Goodnotes is an ios application that allows you to take handwritten notes digitally on your iPad, iPhone, or mac. It helps you organize your notes digitally, and will enable you to bookmark pages that way you can easily navigate through your notes. You can take notes, write or draw. You can even build a photo album with the app, as it allows you to add photographs. 

Using goodnotes as a planner

When it comes to using goodnotes as a planner, ultimately you do need an already designed planner, which you can get here. 

If you don’t have a goodnotes app already, it’s probably best you start by downloading it from the app store. The advantage of using an already designed planner is that you have everything set up for you and all you need to do is download it and open it on your goodnotes app. 

• To import your digital planner, you can either import it from your Files app from GoodNotes, or if you’re downloading a file from Dropbox or Safari, simply tap “Open in GoodNotes” from the share menu.
• How to click the links in GoodNotes: Go to Read-Only Mode, which will take away the blue toolbar, as shown below. Now the links in your planners will be clickable!

• Use the bookmark option to save your favorite pages.  A lot of planners have a lot of pages, which is why the bookmark feature will definitely come in handy for easy navigation from one section to the other. Having tabs that are clickable also helps with easy navigation.
